That said, I felt a strong need to write this letter in response to an unnecessary, rude and unfounded comment recently left by someone on our page:
If you have a problem with corsets, if you downright hate them, then that is entirely within your right but the fact of the matter is that you've found yourself in the wrong place.
We welcome opinions, we welcome comments and we certainly welcome questions, which we try to answer in the most unbiased and informative way possible. But what we don't tolerate is any form of negativity, shaming, vulgarity, unfounded sweeping opinions/comments and general "snark" of any kind.
I would like to make it abundantly clear, that any such comments will be deleted and if they persist, the user in question will be blocked.
When I think about our FB fan page, I like to think of it as a place where all of us who love corsetry, tighlacing, waist training, (hell, even fashion history, cosplay, burlesque, pin-up, stockings, lingerie and more!) can gather and share our love and appreciation for them.
So to those who don't feel the same: please feel free to create your own fan page where you can create your own community with your own kind of like-minded fans and keep your opinions there. And I promise, I won't swing by your page and go off about how much I disagree. Firstly: I don't have the time to sift through social media to find a page/group/etc. that doesn't match my personal preferences, and secondly: I much prefer to focus my time & energy on being positive and happy, rather than spending it on hate, distaste and resentment.
And lastly, to our fans: thank you for your support & please rest assured that we will carry on doing everything in our power to keep the negative, to keep the "snark", far (far!) away from our page.
Wife, mother workaholic & entrepreneur. I do my best to bring you regular content via this blog, but as you can see from my archives, it doesn't always work out that way (see above, where I mention the whole "mother" thing).
