Did you know that the more toned your core is (i.e. the less fat you have around your belly), the more likely you are to require a size up when selecting your corset?
Think about it: the more toned your core is, the more firm, correct? The less fat you've got around your belly, the less tender the area, right? As such, the more toned your tummy, the less there is for the corset to comfortably cinch in.
Muscle is naturally more dense than fat. If you've got a little bit of cushion around your midsection, the easier it will be for you to cinch in 4" to 5" with your steel boned corset, or 6" to 7" with a waist training corset.
And so, if you have an enviably toned and lean midsection, you will want to subtract 2" to 3" from your natural waist measure when selecting the right corset size for your needs.
Happy corseting! x
